The 100/200 is an epic one-day road bike ride that takes experienced road cyclists for a double century on Vermont’s Route 100. The 209-mile ride spans Vermont entirely from north to south, starting from the Canadian border and ending at the Massachusetts state line. Route 100 is recognized as one of Vermont’s most scenic highways and the ride is routed to minimize automobile traffic.
The 100/200 is not a challenge to be tackled by recreational riders, but should be, according to its organizers, “within the capabilities of most well-trained cyclists.” The route includes a little of everything, from long, relatively flat sections, through rolling hills, and easy but wearing climbs and a few solid ascents.
Registration is free, but riders are encouraged to fill out an online registration form to help organizers plan for the event. Please visit the event’s website for more information.
