Bike MS: Ride the Rhode

Bike MS: Ride the Rhode is part of a series of fundraising events organized annually by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support research against multiple sclerosis.

This two-day event allows participating cyclists to ride on both days or one day only and to choose between different distances: 40 miles, 75 miles or 100 miles (century) on Saturday June 8th; and 35 miles or 75 miles on Sunday June 9th. All rides start and end at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, RI.

The minimum age to ride any of these three routes is 12. Riders aged 12 through 17 must review the Safety in Group Cycling brochure with a parent or legal guardian before the ride, and they must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult (at least 21 years of age) at all times. One adult may be responsible for no more than three youth riders. Trailers, tagalongs, or child carriers aren’t allowed.

The fundraising minimum for Bike MS: Ride the Rhode is $300. Walk-up registrations are accepted, but riders are encouraged to register early and raise more money to have the greatest impact. Please visit the event’s website for more information and fundraising tips.
